Hot Toddy 'Late Night Boogie' Smoke 'n' Mirrors - SNM01LP

Hot Toddy is a name synonymous with great house and downbeat music .. he has always delivered tunes for many well respected labels, to many to list.. the one that all hold up the foundations of the UK house . Having his roots well and truly rooted in the Midlands .. He can be found frequenting the murky neighbor hoods of the back streets of Nottingham.. This album offers Chris (Hot Toddy) the chance to unleash some solo gems .. you can see what sort of influences and sounds bounce of the walls when he hooks up with his fellow production co horts Crazy P Vocalist "Danielle Moore"  .. smoking tight electrofied disco .. Full of energy and read to slink its way to the heart of your dancers.. I have dropped this in the radio and it's sweet in the mix..
It's 11 Tracks of lush urban dynamite ready to get some parties started ...

'Paperecordings gave Crazy P (then called Crazy Penis) their start in 1999. The band have gone on to great things in the past 10+ years, with their signing to 2020 Vision in 2008 providing the profile boost which catapulted them into the limelight. With Chris’ involvement as a writer, producer, guitarist, keyboard player and ‘general knob twiddler’, Crazy P have released six albums, headlined festivals worldwide, graced the covers of magazines and picked up rave reviews at every juncture.

Fast forward to 2010 and Chris has found time amongst the hectic Crazy P schedule to get in the studio alone again for the long overdue follow up to his 2001 album.

The first single taken from ‘Late Night Boogie’ was ‘Down To Love’ in May, featuring the vocals of Jennifer Rhonwen and remixes from deep house legend Fred Everything, and was an instant smash, reaching the number one spot on Juno Download. Second single, ‘Freekend’, featuring the distinctive vocals of Crazy P’s Danielle Moore will be released in November, with remixes from D-Pulse, Ron BaseJam (aka Crazy P’s James Baron), Nick Chacona, Anthony Mansfield and The Hue (aka Tim K and JT Donaldson).'

Pure Magic Just one hot album .. take a listen .. this is being released by OM around Oct 25th .. and i'd be suprised what with MJ7 on the horizon there may be a tune from this on it ,,?? just a guess that

Darius Syrossian & Anthony Attalla 'Boogaloo' NDNGRD Music

Some seroious funky beats coming from a new label to the DSA review Blog .
"NDNGRD Music (pronounced Endangered) present their sixth release – a double header between Darius Syrossian and Anthony Attalla, two of the most hotly tipped artists to break through to big things in house music. The concept of ‘Boogaloo’ was conceived by label boss Dangermin SoL who asked both artists to create their own original versions of the track. Darius Syrossian, best known for his outings on Steve Lawler’s Viva Music and his own Breakout Audio brings his driving tech house sound, while Anthony Attalla gives a whirlwind tour of Detroit with his ‘Belle Isle’ and ‘Corktown’ rubs delving into classic techno territory."

I have been using most of these mixes to devastating effect and highly recommend this EP to any house DJ that like a lump of funk n their digi create..My pick is the Anthony Attalla remix for it's darker energy and slightly edgier vibe ..

Out October 25th

Out This Month So Don't Miss This Gem

With a passion for house music that spurred from an appreciation of disco and funk, Will Jax knew that one day he would be producing as well. Starting out DJ’ing in a number of pubs / clubs around Adelaide he wasn’t satisfied with what he was playing and wanted to try and push house music to the people. It wasn’t until he was given a set at a TechPhonics event and being able to play with one of the greatest, James Curd, that he realised that house music was more than just music.

Having played in many of Adelaide’s premier night spots as well as guest spots interstate, Will Jax is known for his funky / jackin sets of quality underground house. Having a dream of producing house music was something that any house DJ would aspire to and it wasn’t long before Will Jax was thinking the same.

With a lot of persistence he has been able to get releases out on

numerous labels including Shak Digital, Juiced! Music, Greenhouse

Recordings, Funkfield, HuHu Music and Sly City with many more in the

works. Make sure you keep an eye out for Will Jax as there are great
