Mooji - Double Agent EP - Kramm Records

Mooji showcases his first release the Double Agent EP on Kramm Records early in Novenber.
With 3 originals and 2 remixes we have a delightful selection of unique jazz / blues / down tempo & ethnic inspired side notes. Why side notes i hear you ask .. well Mooji is the untamed eclectic side of techno producer Kramnik. We are treated to a swim in the electronic mind of a classsy producer.
The title track Melody sure is a treat ! reaggea electro dub meets minimal house . Using the lyrics of Lee Scratch Perry mooji drops a bass heavy down tempo swirl. For me content that will be used for time .. As Lee Perry always offers my summery dub sets a tune or 2 .
Track 2 follows on with that almost massive Attack vibe .. A melodic tramp with heavy guitar and meaningful vocals, letting you become part of the intensification that the track delivers. For the final original we a track called "So Good" starting with wonky funk laid end samples you feel like the magic carpet is just about to leave. Ina Jack Kerrowac way the male vocal tempts you deeper and deeper in to the melting pot of electro blues..
Spicing things up for the floor we have 2 remixes with teh first coming from Pier Boston, who may i add drops my fav for the ep a chunky twisted ethno stomp that sits happly somewhere betewwn house and glitch.. Will easily find its way in to my wordly all bpm sets of nu-disco session that have a Balkan buzz to them. Rounding out the EP Trama adds magic top his version of So Good. Taking this to the minimal techno crowd we have a smoothly layerd version with a sick bassline . Not your womp or hollow bap but more of a zub zub .. Made my ears get dialed in .. Would see the likes of Fat Boy Slim championing this tune ..
As a pre cursor to the early 2016 album from Mooji we are getting the flow that this will be a live project to keep our eyes on as it soars to success.. Top Beats !
